Description:	Marriage Record E 1854-1860This book has an aged white cloth cover and is approximately 10 inches by 16 inches. One the spine, vertically arranged, Marriage, Record, E, July 1854, to, July 1860. The front cover is speckled with numerous small stains. Inside the front cover on the left side is a green marble design. On the right side is a reddish marble design with a missing lower right corner, a strip of black tape fastens these two in the center. The next two-page spread is white paper. On the right side, written in pen: Marriage Record E, 1854 to 1859. It should be noted at this point that while the final records recorded in this book are from 1859 (page 568,) pages 569 and a different page 568 which actually come previous to the first page 568 reflects marriage records from march of 1860. There are two page 568s.To return to the index, there are page tabs for each letter of the alphabet with the exception of X. Each page has two columns, one for the bride, one for the groom. Some last initials which were common to begin names with were continued on pages with less common initials.Immediately following the index are marriages licenses and certificates. Two couples per page with the license on top, followed by the marriage certificate. The pages are hand-numbered on the upper outside corners. While all are yellowed around the edges, some show greater deterioration.The book concludes with several pages of blank licenses and certificates and several blank pages. Marbles pages like those at the beginning of the book (reddish on the left, green on the right with black tape in the center precede the back cover.The back cover is the same as the front cover, with no text.
