Wallace, George vs. Luke Decker Sr.1810

Description: The file contains one document, the Judgment bond of Luke Decker, Sr. to George Wallace in 1810. The bond document signed on February 17, 1810, stated that Luke Decker Sen. was to pay the sum of $110.58 to George Wallace on February 18, 1810 with the penal sum of $221.16. It empowered Gen. Johnston to appear for me in court. It also released all errors or errors that may happen in obtaining judgment. N. Claypoole witnessed the bond. At the bottom of the document: balance of account. Amount of note: $95.20 and interest $5.71 1/2 now deliver to hi : $9.67 + 100.91 = $110.58. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas 1807-1810, page 240: The Plaintiff appeared by Gen. Johnston and the Defendant by John Johnston. The Defendant could not deny he owed the Plaintiff $221.16. It was ordered that the Plaintiff recover $221.16 to be discharged by payment of $110.58 with interest from February 18, 1810, together with costs and charges related to the suit.
