On Dec. 6, 1806 Richard Boyd of the County of Davison Tennessee brings a Negro man named Henson age 22 before Isaac White, Deputy Clerk of the Knox County Court of Indiana Territory. Henson is to serve Richard Boyd and his assignees until his term is complete. There was no time period listed in the document. Richard Boyd is to provide sufficient clothing, food, and lodging according to his degree and station and Henson is not to become a cost of the county at the completion of his contract. |
