Interview with Norris Mode

Description: Oral History interview with Norris Emerson Mode. Mr. and Mrs. Mode were living on Maple Street in 1937. High water forced them from their home and into the home of a friend, Charles Clark. Mr. Mode provides details of floating in the flood waters in a mortor box, getting typhoid shots, cleaning his home, the devastation brought to local merchants and automobiles left parked in the streets.
