The wife of a city council member, Catherine Richardson describes the tense hours leading up to the Ohio River flooding the city of Jeffersonville, Indiana. After water engulfed her home, she and her family evacuated to the Port Fulton area. Mrs. Richardson became a Red Cross volunteer and this lead to a life time involvement in the work of that organization. This interview is rich with details describing decisions and actions made before, during, and after the flood.
