Originally called just the Bethel Church, the Bethel Evangelical United Brethren Church was organized on May 28, 1905 and the building shown above was dedicated in December 1905. It is located at 1200 N. Michigan and Simonton Streets. A larger building would eventually be needed and the new building would be dedicated in April 1930. The name and affliation would also be changed to Bethel United Methodist Church sometime between 1968 and 1969. |
