Elkhart City Church of the Brethren

Description:	This was the Elkhart City Church of Brethren located at 428 West Wolf Avenue at the Benham intersection. The church was founded in 1897 and was originally housed at 1618 S. Sixth Street (now the Fellowship of Hope Mennonite Church). The lots at Wolf and Benham were purchased in 1928 and the building shown above was dedicated June 25, 1950. In 1995, a fire forced meetings to be held elsewhere while repairs could be made, but the original structure remains intact. The property was sold to Agape Missionary Baptist Church and still resides there as of 2021.
