Description:	This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1126 South St. Peter, Squad 17 dispatched at 3:27am; Car 10 dispatched under normal conditions with a photographer for anyone with burns or overcome by smoke; Roy Howard Jr. at the 33’s, from Engine 33, calling for Bill Brown from Station 31 asking for his number, on the A shift and told to go to Station 30 Howard address at 255 W. 44th and did not have transportation to come in for his shift, phone number 283-8774; Mention of Chief Johnson in the background; Male caller who worked for the Vice? asking for the Sherriff Department or Police department; Code 1 near?, the Lieutenant took a few swings at someone.; Caller requesting Headquarters to have cars sent to Station 14 because it was being stoned, dispatch said it was the police needing help because they were being stoned; Task Force 9 dispatched to State and Sturm, a truck fire next to a house, 2:47am; Female caller reporting the fire at State and Sturm; Car 300 reporting a grocery store on fire at 855 Indiana Avenue, Task Force 2 dispatched with police on the scene; Male caller reporting a fire at the AFNB? Bank on Monument Circle; Gus calling in having received a Code 4 on Engine 34, told to go into Station 34; Female caller reporting a house fire at 1126 S. St. Peter, Task Force 10 dispatched, reported to the police; Request for a black marking pen, the ink thing, offered a crayon; Task Force 10 to Dispatcher requesting an ambulance and oxygen for a lady on the scene overcome by smoke; Dictabelt
