Description:	The file contains two documents regarding the sale of land from Antoine Shappard to James Lafeve on January 11, 1840. On January 11, 1841, James Lafeve, signed with his mark, on a Promissory Note to Antione Shappard for $55.00. It was witnessed by Jonathan Collins. The Note was in exchange for land described as: South West fractional Quarter of Section Number Three in Township Two North of Range Number Eleven West containing 153 and 40/100 acres. The paperwork was filed by Clerk, W.R. McCord on February 15, 1842.
