Labor Day parade 1928

Description: First entry is Kings Local 5584 float which is decorated in patriotic bunting so that you can not see the truck cab. On the side of the truck bed the bunting forms a triangle and there are little American flags surrounding the bed.Next comes a miner carrying the American flag followed by rows of miners dressed in white shirt, ties, hats. Some are wearing suits. People are lining both sides of State Street with some people seating or peering out the open windows of the upper floor of J. C. Penny. You can see the following buildings: J.C. Penny Co., Purdy Confectionery, McCulloughs Cafe, Universal Market Meats, Massey Shoe Store, Applegath, Economy Variety Store, and Peoples American National Bank.
