Description: |
First entry is a float by Gibson County Central Labor Union. It is a truck decorated in patriotic strips with a mounted American flag on the hood and a sign with their name in the truck bed. Next is the Meat Cutters Union 246 from Evansville truck with a man in his meat cutters uniform in the bed. Next decorated truck has a sign on the side saying Less we forget 9926 with children riding in the bed with a sign saying we miss __. Then there are two trucks with one having a sign with the word team on it. Behind the trucks it appears to be a group of black men carrying a banner saying Harmony is our slogan. People are lining both sides of State Street which is decorated with American flags on poles. You can see the following stores: Economy Variety Store, Walsh Decorating Co., Purdy confectionery, McCulloughs Cafe, Universal Market Meats, Book Shoe Shoppe, Applegath, J. C. Penny Co., Peoples American National Bank. |
