Knox County court record for State of Indiana vs George Smith, Albert Smith and Asberry Goodman, 1850

Description: On the fifth day of February 1850, George Smith, Albert Smith and Asberry Goodman are accused of gathering together with intent to start a riot and assaulting one James Madison with bodily harm. The suit was filed by C. Allen, Prosecuting Attorney. Witnesses on the case were John Madison, Wade Dill, Priscilla Dill, Alex La Plant and Samuel Gochenaur. Bail was set at twenty five dollars. William Scott, Sheriff of Knox County states that Asberry Goodman could not be found as of August 11, 1851 and is out of state.
