Description:	Knox County Public Library Indiana Memory Marriage Book C 8 1871-1875The exterior cover for this marriage book is a tan canvas material. The interior pages are green and black. The cover also has various dark spots scattered on the exterior. The year of marriages covered in the Knox County Marriage book C-8 is from 1871-1875. The size of the book is 12 x 18. There are three blank pages before the index pages, and seventy-one index pages of marriage. The pages contain four columns of information, which are: the grooms name, the word to, brides name and the page number that the information is entered on. Some of the ink has faded in color; and the pages have some deteriorating edges. Each page of the marriage book consists of two entrees of marriage. Each application for the marriage consists of a page number, date of application, name of the applicants, and the name of the county clerk. These pages also contain the marriage return. The returns give the actual date of marriage, the spouse’s name, and the name of the person who performed the ceremony. There are four hundred eighty-one pages of marriage records in this book. There are also 3 blank pages at the end of the book. In total this book contains a total of 558 pages.
