Knox County slave register, Francis Jordan registers Ned, 1807

Description: On Sept. 23, 1806 Francis Jordan comes before Robert Buntin, Clerk of the Knox County Clerk of Common Pleas and brings a Negro boy named Ned age 16. He is a slave belonging to Francis Jordan. Francis is to provide Ned with proper lodging, clothing and washing provisions. At the end of his thirty years of service Ned is not to become a county charge.
