Knox County slave register, John Hadden registers Isaac, 1806

Description: On May 2, 1806, John Hadden, comes before Robert Buntin, Clerk of the Knox County Clerk of Common Pleas and brings a Negro boy named Isaac age 15 and 6 months. He is a slave belonging to John Hadden and was brought here from the state of Kentucky. John Hadden is to provide Isaac with proper lodging, clothing and washing provisions. At the end of his forty years of service Isaac is not to become a county charge.
