Description: |
Elisabeth Catherine Gooley (or Cooley) Bryant was born in 1838 in Indiana and married Sylvester Bryant on June 5, 1864. Sylvester Bryant was a member of Company F of the 150th Indiana Infantry Regiment and he served from February 17, 1865 until August 5, 1865. In this letter Elisabeth talks about missing her husband and gives a few notes on what has been happening at home. However, she points out that there is not a lot to write about. There is also a second letter from Sylvester’s mother, Catharine Cooly, wishing him well and telling him that she also misses him and wants him home as soon as possible. |
