Elisabeth Catherine Gooley (or Cooley) Bryant was born in 1838 in Indiana and married Sylvester Bryant on June 5, 1864. Sylvester Bryant was a member of Company F of the 150th Indiana Infantry Regiment and he served from February 17, 1865 until August 5, 1865. In this letter Elisabeth talks about missing her husband and gives him an update on various family members. She also mentions the prices for different goods including fabric, eggs, wheat and butter. |
