After completing work at a business college, Alma Dorman took a position at Quartermaster Depot. She started in the Mail and Records Department and later moved to the Communications Department. She remained at Quartermaster Depot until non-essential employees were subject to a layoff at the end of the war. Dorman shares her experiences as a young woman who moved from Washington County, Indiana, to Jeffersonville in order to contribute to the war effort. |
