Interview with Albert Helzer

Description: An interview with Albert Helzer. Earl Nelson interviewed and recorded the retired banker. At the time of the 1937 Flood, he was a teller at Clark County Bank in Jeffersonville, Indiana. The thumbnail picture was taken from the January 2, 1975, Jeffersonville Eveming Newspaper at his retirement from that same bank as Vice-President. Mr. Helzer provides an account of how the bank dealt with the rising flood waters and the after effects of dealing with soaked and damaged records and money.
