This photograph shows the front entrance of the Elkhart Public Library that was built in 1963 and is located at 300 S. 2nd Street. It is a steel and concrete structure with Indiana limestone facing. The design for the library was created by the architect J. Russell Bailey. The construction was conducted by the Wright Construction Co., of Elkhart, and overseen by architects Richard P. Miller and Charles F. Wiley. The project was funded by the Martin Foundation headed by Ross Martin. |
