The flood of 1908

Description: This is Island Park after the St. Joseph and Elkhart Rivers flooded their banks. The boy is standing on what is the beginning of a footpath leading through the park. The water had risen up to the ramp. The park was subject to flooding each spring at the spot where the two rivers meet. This photograph was most likely taken during the flooding of March 1908.
