Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: Telephone company checking Box 127.; Unidentified person calling to check on a fire on Indiana Ave.; Call from Relent? Station one reporting an outlet not working asking for a nozzle for their booster, dispatch replied they couldn’t get any they were in Elkhart.; Female caller reporting an unconscious Woman at 229 Eastern Avenue; 1204 East Beecher St. female caller reporting an unconscious man with emphysema; Dispatched Squad 17 at 11:41am; Female caller reporting a lumber trash fire in the alley at 910 Virginia Avenue behind a ?Trushay’s drugstore Engine 3 dispatched 11:42am; Car 10 Dispatched at 11:49am; Male caller, Jack, asking if Sheldon was working, dispatch indicated he would be in the morning, asking for police frequencies.; Little league player with a broken arm in the back of Station 31, 1200 E. 46th St.; Request to know what frequency the dispatcher was on, reported to be on frequency 153.77; 10) Male caller reporting a car fire on 36 Eastern Ave.; Request for police dispatcher; 12) Female caller reporting an alert Ward G, Long Hospital, 6th Floor box 39, 1000 West Michigan St. 12:14pm; Telephone repair reporting box 454 as disconnected; Squad 7 asking for an ambulance; Caller requesting to talk with Lieut. Clark in the traffic department; 16 ½ E. Orange St. injured man; Female caller reporting an accident at 1500 Belmont and Miller, dispatched Engine 19; Female caller reporting a child being struck at 3305 N. Keystone Ave., dispatched.; 616 24th St. requesting a squad car and ambulance;
