On the oath of William Lindsay of Vincennes of Knox County, who states that on the night of Thursday August 24, 1815 that his property had been very injured in the most impudent, villainous and contemptible manner and he has good reason to believe it was by John Marney and Robert Marney of Vincennes, Knox County. The U. S. therefore commands Philip Almy, Constable to apprehend and bring them before the Justices of the Peace. The warrant is dated August 28, 1815 and signed by F. Graeter with the cost to execute on defendant being $.60 per P. Almy, Constable. On August 20, 1815 personally comes William Lindsay before one of the the Justices of the Peace who acknowledged himself indebted to the U. S. in the sum of $50. The bond is to be levied of his respective goods and chattels, lands and tenements under the condition that the above bound William Lindsay shall personally appear at the ensuing Circuit Court on the 1st Monday of October next. He to give evidence against John Marney and Robert Marney on charges of damaging property of William Lindsay and will not depart or leave the area or the recognizance bond will be void. The bond is signed by William Lindsay and certified by F. Graeter, Justice of the Peace. |
