Bizayon, Francis vs Pierre Burdelow

Description: A complaint is filed by Francois Bizalion against Pierre Bordelau. He states that Pierre on the 5 th day of ? 1809 at Vincennes made a promissory note and declared he would pay in 10 days the sum of 509 livres, being equal to $127.37 1/2. He asks for damages of $150. The complaint is signed by John Johnson, Attorney for the Plaintiff. A writ of capias is filed by R. Buntin, Clerk of the Common Pleas Court of Knox County on July 17, 1808. The Sheriff is commanded to bring to court Pierre Bordelau on the last Monday of July instant. He is to answer to Francois Bizalion on a plea of trespass and damages of $180. Notes on the back of the writ state actions are on a note in hand of $125.03 1/2. The summons was executed by John McCandless with William McIntosh paying bail. A recognizance bond for Pierre Bordelau and William McIntosh for $250 is filed July 19, 1810 for trespass and damages of $125.00, the bond is signed by Pierre Bordelau and William McIntosh. A listing of court costs for July 1801 is listed as $10.57 1/2. An August 10, 1813 list of debt is in the amount of $7.36 1/2 .
