During the July Term of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas, General Washington Johnston filed a complaint against Isaac Miner for $150. A summons for Isaac Miner was witnessed and signed by court clerk Robert Buntin on June 29, 1808. On the verso of the summons Robert Buntin notes that the sheriff will take bail for $90. The summons was executed by deputy sheriff Samuel Hayes at a cost of $1.69. The defendant posted an appearance bond for $180 on July 16, 1808. The bond was executed and delivered to John McCandless and signed by Isaac and William Miner. After issuing special bail the case was continued from the July to the November 1808 Term.
