Description:	The file contains a promissory note of Charles Delisle to John C. Clark written on July 23, 1838. The note is for $105 to be paid in merchantable wheat, oats, corn or pork. A promissory note was written to John C. Clark by Charles Delisle in Vincennes on July 23, 1838. The value of the note was $105 and was to be paid in merchantable wheat, corn, oats, or pork. If not paid on time, within 5 months, interest would be charged from date. It was signed with the mark of Charles Delisle and witnessed by H.E.Y. Dubois. On the back of the note, Received August 5, 1838 $48.76. February 27, 1839 paid on the sum of $49.17. Also included in the file is the cover sheet indicating the case was filed May 10, 1841 by W. R. McCord, Clerk.
