Description: The file contains the account of Christian Graeter with George W. Harper and Harpers account with Christian Graeter. The attorneys for Christian Graeters Estate brought the case to settle Harpers debt with Graeter. Also included is the subpoena for Roseanne and Fredrick Graeter to appear in court. John Holland and Samuel Emison administrators for Christian Graeters estate brought to court William Harper. Harper was represented by Saul Judah and Robert M. Carnan. George Harpers account with Graeter went from 1830 to 1831. The total account was $279.25. (Filed August 17, 1833 by A.D. Scott, Clerk) Christan Graeters account with George Harper included 1825 to 1830 and included some of the following: cash $12.00, cash $20.00, 2 barrels sugar @ $8.00 $43.52, 2 bags coffee 351 lbs $ $44.75, 2 boxes young huson tea 20 lbs @ $1.10 $22.00, 1 box sperm candles @ 27 $8.03, 1 keg 4 nails 100 lbs $6.50, 2 kegs white lead @ $2.75 $5.50, 2 lbs camphor $2.00, 1 barrel ten wine 32 gal @ $1.20 $38.40, 1 Barrel No 1 Mackeral $7.50, drayage $.50, freight on the above articles from New Orleans to Evansville $12.65, freight from Shawnytown to Vincennes $12.65, Drayage $.50. Total $265.77. Attorney Robert Carnan, attorney for George Harper, requested a subpoena for Roseanne and Frederick Graeter. It was issued by W.R. Mc Cord Deputy Clerk for A.D. Scott, Clerk on August 15, 1833. The subpoena was executed by John Purcell, Sheriff at a cost of $.85. According to a document written by Saul Judah and Robert M. Carnan, the Defendant and the Plaintiffs agreed to waiver going to the court chambers.
