Michel Richardville vs Charles Marchall

Description:	A petition by T. M. Thomas, lawyer for the petitioner Michel Richardville is filed against Charles Marchall, who is under the age of 21. Charles Marchall and Michel Richardville are owners in full as tenants in common. Richardville has 1/4th and Charles Marchall has 3/4th of lots 11,10,9,8,7 of subdivision and equal parts of lots 41 and part of lot 42 according to Johnson and Emisons survey of the Borough of Vincennes. A summons is issued for Charles Marchall to appear in court the second Monday of the June term to answer to the petition of Michel Richardville for partition against him. William R. McCord as guardian for Charles Marchall answers to the petition and states that Charles is ignorant of the petition and that he represents the defendant. The document is signed W. R. McCord, guardian. A commissioners report is filed. The commissioners state they have assigned 26 ft. front on Water St. of lot 41 in Borough of Vincennes running back the whole depth of said lot and 21 ft. at the line of John B. La Plants property at a distance of 63 ft. 10 in. from corner of Busseron and Water St. and running towards Broadway or St. Peters St. belonging to Charles Marchall and to Michel Richardville, lot 267, fifty seven ft. of front on 6th street at corner of Perry running along to Perry the whole depth of the lot and 57 ft. and to Marchall the residence of the property. The report is filed June 17, 1851 by Samuel Wise and Pierre Richardville before Clark Willis, Justice of the Peace.
