Labor Day Parade, Princeton, Indiana, 1926

Description: Photograph which shows the truck leading this section of the parade decorated with flags and red, white and blue bunting. The Center Township UMWA Local 3457 band is riding in the bed of the truck dressed in overalls, shirts and caps. Behind this truck are two more decorated trucks with miners on them. Following these trucks are rows of miners marching. The streets are lined with people on both sides and are decorated with flags. There are two people leaning out of the upstairs windows of the Walsh Decorating Store. You can also identify the following stores: Economy Variety Store, McCulloughs Cafe, J. C. Penney, Purdys Confectionery and Peoples American National Bank.
