Greene township school destroyed by fire in 1991.

Description: This is a black and white photograph of the remains of the Greene Township School in Parke County, Indiana after the 1991 fire. Located on county road 350 N, the building was a total loss. Built in 1923, it ended the one room school system in the township. It served the area from 1925-1967 with seniors graduating from Turkey Run High School beginning in 1956. Grade school students later transferred to the school in Marshall in 1967. The building was sold in 1968. This item was donated by the Don McCue family.
