Newspaper (Vincennes Sun-Commercial) promotions and articles surrounding the October 25, 1947 event at the Bicknell Gymnasium show tickets costing $2.60 for bleacher seats and $3.40 for ringside seats. The heavyweight champ went four rounds with Sid Peek of Charlestown, Indiana. |
