Knox County, Indiana Circuit Court record for State of Indiana vs. John Rollins, 1867

Description: Folder 8828 in Box 174 of Knox County Circuit Court records at the Knox County Public Library’s McGrady-Brockman House contains three documents in the case of State of Indiana vs. John Rollins. During the February, 1867 term of Knox County Circuit Court an indictment for grand larceny was issued against John Rollins, a man of color. He was accused of stealing a hog, valued at ten dollars, from the personal property and goods of the Overseers of the Poor on December 26, 1866. Documents in the folder consist of the indictment, the arrest warrant for Rollins, and the summons of witnesses for the state, David Lahue and Adam Wilson.
