On Feb. 26, 1806 Samuel Ledgewood comes before Robert Buntin, Clerk of the Knox County Clerk of Common Pleas and brings a Negro man named Adam age 40. He was brought here from the state of Kentucky.. Samuel is to provide Adam with proper lodging, clothing and washing provisions. At the end of his twelve years of service Adam is not to become a county charge. |
