M., January 1, you saw a large number ofNormal students standing at the north entrance waiting to see Maude Adams, and asyou,went down Cherry street, January 13, yousaw a small (?) number waiting likewise to seeJulius Caesar.Miss Katherine Kaiser, who teaches Latin inthe Linton High School, visited friends here,January 1.Miss Mabel Malott, who filled the third andfourth grade position during Miss Badersabsence, has once more joined our ranks.Miss Mamie Hollowell is taking work at DePauw University this term.The Equal Suffrage League gave its secondevening meeting, February 7. Four short addresses were given by members of the faculty,namely, Mr. McBeth, Mr. Lynch, Mr. Wiselyand Mr. Rettger. Miss McMullen answeredquestions at the closed of the addresses. Theaudience was small, but appreciative.Miss Edna Applegate was visiting her sister,Clara Applegate, February 5.Mrs. N. A. Ferguson visited her daughter,Marguerite, February 7.Prof. Stalker was ill, February 6 and 7, andwas unable to meet his classes.Miss Elsie Finley was called home, January30, on account of her mothers illness. She returned, February 4.Miss Dorothy Crabbs, a former student ofI. S. N., is to be married in the near future.Her future home will be in Los Angeles, California.Mr. C. II. Mitchell has been in Indianapolis since February 1 doing library work.Mr. Edmund Arnold, principal of the schoolsat Lena, Park county, was run down by a BigFour passenger train and instantly killedThursday evening, February 13. He was aformer student of the State Normal and waswell known.Thursday night, February 14, the WilliamFaversham company presented Julius Caesarat the Grand.
