THINK GLOBAL, BUY LOCALEvery Saturday morning, Bloomingtonians flood to theFarmers Market. Many South students take part in thisevent, either enjoying the local food, working as avendor, or just taking in the atmosphere. Senior LuciaDavila, a regular at the market, said that it is aBloomington tradition and [she] think[s] its beautiful.3ACON She has been going since she was little and her favoritepurchases are sunflowers and pumpkin cream cheesemuffins. Another side of the market that not everyonegets to see is the relationships between all of the vendors.Josephine McCormick, a senior who works at the MuddyFork Bakery stand, says that its one of the mostsupportive environments that [she has] ever been in.McCormick also notes that the people that come to thefarmers market are very encouraging, [she] get[s] a lot ofcompliments on [her] hair there, and its a niceenvironment.PHOTOS BY ELLA NEEDI. II. Seniors Ivy Kehoe and Wynne Milhouse posetogether before the race begins. III. The start line is where all of thedifferent groups gather before the race begins. The events include afamily walk, a 5k walk, and a 5k run. IV. Balloons cover the stagewhere announcements and speeches are made throughout themorning.
