Description: |
Barbara Keller Miller and her husband operated F. C. [Falls City] Electric Company on Spring Street in Jeffersonville at the time of the 1937 flood. The store was in the 4th building from the left in the thumbnail image of Spring Street. She describes her time as a refugee mother, then as a hostess for other families returning from the flood. This narrative is important as it describes to the restoration of the businesses in downtown Jeffersonville from the business owners point of view.
