Ruthmere was built in 1908 by E. Hill Turnock and belonged to Albert R. and Elizabeth (Baldwin) Beardsley. The house was named after their daughter Ruth, who died in infancy in the 1880s. After restoration was completed by Robert Beardsley, the Ruthmere was opened as a house museum in 1973. It stands at 302 E. Beardsley Avenue. |
