Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) District 1 calling into say he is bringing guy from truck 34 and the captain from the 24s to the Here Apartment fire at Shadeland. 2) Request for squad 14 to bring back a generator from Shadeland fire. 3) Marion County Sheriff has taken over the police aspect of the Here Apartments Shadeland fire. Sheriffs department is calling to let fire know this. 4) 5600 East and 5300 North, southeast from Roxbury Road. Rest of call is too garbled to understand. 8 AM. 5) Hose tender 23 asking if they can go out of service to dry their hoses. 6) When it gets done raining could you have someone check the box at Lasalle and Newton? Seems to be off the hook. 7) Heart attack at 19 West South Street at the United Hospital Service. 8:43 AM. 8) Automobile on fire on the overhead on West Washington. Dispatch calling
