This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) Smoke coming out of storage room, 3501 MacArthur Ln. 2) [recording skips] 3) Hydrants in service along Central Ave, Kessler Blvd to 61st Street. 4) Caller informs dispatcher flags should be flown at half mast due to the death of President Eisenhower. 5) Report on small fire at 3501 MacArthur, cause unknown. One 2.5 inch line used, fire was on the side of the house underneath the siding, fire was confined to siding. 6) [recording inaudible] 7) Fire in garage on alley side reported, location inaudible. Recording ends at 3:09 PM. |
