Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 38th and Meridian?; Dispatcher, Irwin, request from Chief Kinnear? to take the Engine out of service on Merrill St between Pennsylvania and Delaware, the Boy Scouts were washing the wall, so they can use it to rinse the walls.; Squad 14 is dispatched to 38th and Meridian where a child was struck at 8:09.; Female caller report of an unconscious woman on the second floor at Illinois Street Postal Station at Illinois and South, Squad 17 dispatched at 8:20pm; Cable Man requesting box number 236.; Two male callers, one female caller reporting a small fire at 800 block of Indiana Ave. by the Big Ten Market.; Female caller asking for Fire Prevention. Fire Prevention was closed that day, and she asked the dispatch a question about smoke devices sold in five and dime stores.; Female caller requesting help for a dying cat under a car, dispatch responded that she would need to call the Humane Society because the Fire Department doesn’t handle things like that anymore.; Male caller reporting a fire at the Deep Rock? service station at Rural and Roosevelt box 164 at 10:32pm.; Male caller reporting a man having a heart attack at 1702 Lexington.; Female caller reporting her car on fire in front of Kroger at the Lafayette Square Shopping center.; Male caller asking for permission to burn a shed at the Westview Christian Church, dispatch told caller they could not give permission and suggested having it hauled away, no open trash fires.; Male caller reporting a car on fire at 36 Eastern Ave. Engine 11 dispatcher at 12:03 pm; 16 ½ E. Orange report of a man falling an d being hurt pretty bad. Squad 17 dispatched at 12:31pm; Foxworthy Ford called to report a sick woman at 819 E. Washington St.; Caller asking if they can still register bicycles at the fire station.; Michigan and Alabama report of a bad PI. Dispatched Squad 7 at 1:04pm.; Female caller reporting a fire in their parking lot at Allington? Dale Pond 5940 E. 10th . Engine 20 dispatched at 1:09.; Wagner? At Fire Station 17 wanting to speak to Bill White, the dispatcher identified himself as Bill White.; Engine 33 dispatched to 3237 Gerard for first aid.; The last three minutes of the records are dead air. |
