Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) 6800 Pendleton Pike, Airway foodstore car on fire. Engine 24 is dispatched. 2) Man at the 33s with a girl with a possible broken hand, dispatch sending Engine 33 back to the station house. 3) 36 and Northwestern Street, collapsed man. 4) Woman calling to inquire about fire department filling her swimming pool. 5) 8 North Gladstone, sending an ambulance. Engine 12 dispatched. 6) 22nd and College, unconscious man. 7) 3309 Ashland, house fire. Indianapolis fire reports it to Warren Township fire department. 1:29 timestamp. 8) Fall Creek and College, car on fire. 9) 900 block of Union Street (909 South Charles), near station 17, abandoned house on fire. 10) 227 North Arsenal, trash fire in the rear. Engine 27 dispatched.
