Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 28th and Meridian, police needed. 1) 521 East Miami, working fire, still alarm. Car 10 dispatched. 2) 1841 Westview, man unconscious. 3) 512 East Washington (Box 83), Travel Lodge, fire. Engine 17, Engine 6, Truck 17, and District 3 dispatched. 12:55 timestamp. 4) 3101 West 10th, heart attack. Engine 9 dispatched. 5) 206 Lafayette Road, fire in the back. 6) Box 2133, 62nd and Keystone, Burger Chef, fumigation, disregard. 7) 2206 Lafayette Road, police called dispatch to say Engine 30 has a dead battery. Shop on the way. 8) 709 North Ketcham, house fire. Engine 9, Engine 18, Truck 18, District 1 dispatched. 9) 3362 North Ruckle, grease fire, man burned. Engine 28, Truck 14, Engine 28, Squad 14, District 2 dispatched but false alarm. 10) 1829 County Line Road, barn fire.
