Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) 700 Union Street, Car 10 dispatched. State owned building, arson, fire in rear end. 2) 2835 East 19th St, car fire. Engine 21 dispatched. 3) West of Division on Ray, house fire, vacant. 4) White Castle on fire on East Washington. 5) 1820 Calhoun, house on fire. Dispatch says, Oh no. Not again. 6) Sundown Motel, 6635 Washington, asthma attack. 7) 600 Shelby, mattress fire in street. 8) Virginia and Pine Aves, burning mattress. 9) 1100 West New York, car wreck. Ambulance and car on the way. 10) Bluff Road and Raymond, D&S Auto Parts, fire. 11) Prospect and Keystone, car on fire. 12) 2146 College, house on fire. Engine 22, Engine 8, Truck 8 dispatched. 13) 637 Mass Ave, fire in a trash can. They dragged it outside and want help. Engine 7 dispatched.
