Description: This is a digitized recording of a dictabelt, which the Indianapolis Fire Department used to record dispatch calls during the 1960s and 1970s. Following are the calls on this dictabelt: 1) School 27 fire alarm was turned on by accident, 1702 Noth Park. 2) Squad 7 sent to 10th and West Drive, Woodruff Place, motorcycle and car accident with injury. 3) 1837 North Dequincy, possible stroke, ambulance is needed. 4) 2619 North New Jersey, occupied garage on fire. 5) 2610 Central, shed on fire. Engine 15, truck 22 sent to the shed fire. 6) Woman reporting a mugging to the police. 7)Squad car sent to 26th and Central to stop traffic. 8) 46th and Sherman, grass fire in vacant lot. Providence, Road Island operator calling for woman who was speaking with her brother and thinks he is having a heart attack.
