Letter from James H. Meteer to Caleb Mills, September 13, 1864

Description: Meteer describes their recent pursuit of rebels in Georgia and Alabama. He describes the country and the soldiers foraging for food. Local women tried to lie about their resources, but the soldiers found their livestock and slaughtered it.
