A summons is issued January 3, 1810 to the Sheriff of Knox County. He is to take Pierre Pellitier to court the 21st of March, 1810. Pierre Pellitier is to answer unto Joseph Edeline on a plea of trespass for slander. Edeline is also asking for $300 in damages. Robert Buntin was a witness and the summons was executed by John McCandless, Deputy Sheriff who road 3 miles @ $.18 to serve and charged .$.59 for returning. |
