Description:	The file contains one document the Bond of Samuel Carruthers in the suit that George Wallace, Jr. brought against Carruthers in 1810. The Bond Document written February 12, 1810 ; bindeth Samuel Carruthers to the sum of $86.94 1/2 to George Wallace Jr. with the penal sum of $180.00. It also empowered Gen. W. Johnston as an attorney to appear for him to acknowledge judgement and release all errors that may happen in obtaining judgment. The document was signed by Samuel Carruthers and witnessed by Mark Barnett. According to the Minute Book of the Knox County Court of Common Pleas 1807 -1810; The Plaintiff appeared by Gen. W. Johnston and the Defendant by J. Johnson. The Defendant could not deny the action of the Plaintiff. It was ordered that the Plaintiff recover the sum of $180.00 to be discharged by the payment of $86.94 1/2 with interest from February 12, 1810, together with court costs and expenses related to the suit.
