The file contains two documents related to the assignment of Parnel [Pernal] C. Jones to the overseers of the poor on November 9, 1807. George Wallace and Elihu Stout verified that Parnel C. Jones was a resident of Vincennes Township, an object of pity, and unable to maintain himself. In the second document, John Bailey and Antoine Drouiette, overseers of the poor, farmed out or sold to Mrs. Prior, the maintenance or keeping of Parnel Jones at $5.00 per month from November 23, 1807 to the first Monday in May 1808. |
