Description:	The file contains the documents regarding the suit for debt that the James Theriac Estate brought against Vance Wolfe for four dollars in 1840. Included in the file is the court transcript moving the case to Probate Court, a request for a subpoena, a summons and two account sheets. The court transcript documents the suit the administrator of James Theriacs Estate, Martin Robinston, brought against Vance Wolfe for a debt of four dollars in 1840. A summons was issued for Vance Wolfe and executed by Henry Winemiller by reading. At the Knox County Court, Vance Wolfe filed his account due of $14.12 as payment against debt. The case was moved to the Knox County Probate Court by Justice A.A. Robinson on December 5, 1840. A second document, is the request by Justice A.A. Robertson to a constable of Busseron County to summons William H. Hanes, Vance Wolfe, and Moses Barker to appear in court for a suit of the Theriac Estate against Abner Tomison. The third document is a summons for Vance Wolfe to appear before A.A.Robertson on December 5, 1840. Henry Winemiller, Constable, in Busseron Township executed the summons by reading. An account titled Estate of James Theriac to Vance Wolfe 1839 lists the following: To cash paid James Theriac by William H. Hanes $4.00; to 3 1/2 Days Work on Boat @ $1.25/day $4.37 1/2; to Pumping Boat $.75; to Wife Sewing $1.00; to 16 Dozen Eggs $2.00; to 32 pieces washing by Wife $2.00 Total Account $14.12 1/2. A second account sheet titled Vance Wolfe with Isreal Taylor lists the following: 5 Yards factory (cloth) @ $.20 $1.00; 5 Yards Cambric @ $.50 $2.50; 1 Pair Stockings $.50; Total Account $4.00
