The file contains the accounts and a promissory note regarding the suit of John Moore and the administrator of William Lindseys estate administrator, Martin Robinson. March 4, 1825, William Lindsey Jr. wrote a promissory note that in a settlement, the sum of $280.46, half of which he is bound to pay John Moore in brick work or plastering. On William Lindseys account to John Moore, 1832 through 1838, the following were listed: writing desk $6.50, readedly (?) book and table $8.00, bedstead $6.00, finishing room for grocery and brick from old house $18.87, table drawers $3.50, 1 cellar door frame, doors and hanging $4.50, steps to same and shelf $1.75, 1 hoe handle, 1 10 ft pole $.25, 65 ft cherry plank, $2.60; putting [pulling] up counter and shelves $45.00, varnish $5.00, 1 table for stove $6.00, 11 days hauling on street and his note in 1825 for $280.46. Total $412.18 1/2 $12.181/2 - $18.00 Total $232.18 3/4 (?) On the back of accounts was $229.00 + $134.05 + 140.23 Total $ 463.28 Amount of judgement $363.05 The account for John Moore to William Lindsey 1891-1834, included the following: cash paid Wayne Edwards $30.00, cash paid Edward Culeom (?) $12.00, cash left at Palestine $50.00, building chimney $12.00, laying and back walls $2.00, plastering 69 yds $8.62, hire of hands 3 days $1.50, cash over your part at Merion $100.00, balance on lumber $13.75. Total $229.87. Also included is a request for subpoenas for the plaintiff and the subpoenas for Robert Johnson, Oliver Lebier and William Fromare; February 11, 1841 by W.R. McCord., Clerk. |
